Tuesday Update
Not a whole lot going on today. Neurosurgery is talking about taking out one of the monitors in her head. They lightened her sedation a little more today and they increased her feeds a tiny bit. Her stomach is not making much noise, but the hopes is to see if it will start moving with these tiny feeds. Things are still progressing at "turtle speed". But we are thankful that she has had no set backs. I am nervous about what damage was done from this. I have to remind myself that she will not be the same Ashlyn that she was before she went in. I know that God will get her though and that even if she has trouble in the beginning, she will eventually have a total healing. Thank you for keeping her in your prayers.

It's so wonderful to know she has not had any setbacks! She sure is a fighter! She will fight through the rehiblitaion and I too know that God will bless her with total healing! We love you!

Hang in there guys...turtle speed is better than going backwards or no speed at all! God will help her through this and one day soon she'll be back to her normal self! I'm glad things are still going well...keep fighting Ashlyn!! We Love You!!
ReplyDeleteHi Liz and Todd - Just wanted to say hello and share a scripture with you. "Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."(Joshua 1:9) He is with you and Ashlyn every second, He never leaves you! I can't even begin to imagine the emotional roller coaster ride you are on but I do believe Jesus is right there with you. Always in my heart - Ellen
ReplyDeleteThere is Our God,
ReplyDelete(He's yours and he's mine)
Who has never overlooked
one moment in time
From beginning till the end
He has always remained
To comfort and reveal
the power of his name
There has never been,
one so great
So strong and so powerful
who understands "journey to fate"
His promises have been tested...
Given to us, one at a time
How then could we know him
This SON.. so devine
We are to taste and see
the goodness of God
And to recognize his fragrance
in each step that we trod
Why then is life such a difficult thing
When a saviour abides in our soul "mastering?"
Somehow we know that in death it brings life
But, our children..Oh God, should not have this fight !!
Help the family to know
The direction to go
Insight from above
From "The Saviour They Love !!"
Impart greater faith, than they have ever known
directly from your "majestic" throne
Through the years they have feed on your word
and have heard all the best messages...
But now being put to a test,
We can only rely on your "sacred passages"
There is None other, such as you!!
Our Jesus our saviour,
The only one of truth
Please give Ashlyn, our girl
a future and a hope
And a calling on her life
with Liz and Todd both
I Bless Your Holy Name !! JESUS
Liz,Todd and Ashlyn
ReplyDeleteI'm glad we were able to stop by the hospital tonight. We're happy Ashlyn is still going forward with her progress, and before you know it she'll be the same Ashlyn as before, God will get her through what ever challenges lie ahead, stay strong.
Love, Oma and Opa xxxooo
