More progress

Ashlyn has been making great progress. This past Friday her speech therapist said she thought she would get her words back. She said that by this time in therapy if she wasn't going to get it back, she would not be making new sounds. She is making new sounds still and saying words. Yesterday at dinner, we had hard boiled eggs. She picked up the egg and said "egg". She had this pleasant surprised look on her face. She proceeded to say it 2 more times and was so happy she could say it. She is getting better with using her right hand. She is starting to hold markers better and color better with it. Thank you all so much for your prayers for her. She IS a miracle from God!

Ashlyn having fun

Ashlyn was riding her bike yesterday. She was having lots of fun and getting lots of exercise. She can now say "mom". So now when she needs me she says "mmmmmmom", exactly how I spelt it. It is so encouraging hearing her with new sounds and words. Thank you God!

Tunnel Night

From time to time Todd likes to set up the living room with what he calls "tunnels". He rearranges the furniture and uses the cushions to make great tunnels for the kids to crawl through. Tonight was tunnel night and the kids had a blast. Doesn't take much to make them happy.

Tractor Ridin' in April

Woo Hoo! Tractor riding in April is so much fun. Especially if you haven't done it in 6 months. Ashlyn had lots of fun driving the tractor. Hope you have fun watching her.

Monday

Today Ashlyn had her first outpatient therapies. She did well. But every time we finished with one therapist, she thought she was done for the day and then would start crying when I said we had more to do. Overall she did great. She has made improvements in all areas. Using her right hand more, walking better. She now can say "DaDa" and "no" and uses them appropriately.

Not much more going on. Hope you all have a wonderful Easter!

Preston and Ashlyn having fun!

This past Saturday we celebrated my mom's 60th birthday. We had dinner and cake at my aunt's house. The kids played and had a good time. Here are a few pics.
