Boys Toys and More Pool Fun

Someone gave our boys a dirt bike. Of course, they are so excited about. Yesterday Preston got to ride it by himself for the first time. He did really well. And for all you worry warts out there (me included) he was very cautious and did great riding for the first time.

Ashlyn also swam in the "big" pool yesterday for the first time. She had only her life jacket and actually let go of Todd a few times. It's just a matter of time before she is swimming like a little fish in there.

Yesterday Kiernan had his "moving up day" at school. He is going into the middle school next year. (He is growing way too fast). At the ceremony, he got an award for "Outstanding Academic Achievement". Which means he made significant improvements over the course of the year. We are very proud of him.

One of our favorite easy desserts to make is Cinnamon Toast. Todd used to make it all the time as a kid and now he makes it with our kids. Yummy!

Wow, have I been lazy with updating my blog. So sorry.

Ashlyn continues to improve each day. She is now consistently putting 2 words together. She can repeat anything I say. Her right hand is getting stronger and stronger as well. She will be starting in home therapy next month and stopping Sunnyview. She may stop going to Sunnyview altogether. We will see.


A big thank you goes out to Ginger, aka Mooie, for the new pool that she bought for the kids. The boys have already been in it twice. Katelyn would love to go in and she doesn't care how cold it is. But of course, it's too cold for me or Todd so she doesn't get to swim in it yet. Ashlyn hasn't been in either. It's too cold for her.
