Monday Morning

The process of getting her transferred to Sunnyview Rehab. has started. She needs to have a speak/swallow evaluation. She cannot go to Sunnyview with the feeding tube in her nose, so if she cannot swallow now she may have to have a feeding tube surgically inserted into her stomach. Of course, Todd and I did not like hearing that. We do not want her to have another surgery. But if she does need it, it doesn't mean that it can never come out. Please pray that she will not need this surgery. Today she will get a CT scan to see if she can start on aspirin. She needs to have her blood thinned for heart reasons. She will also have PT/OT evaluation today so that they can determine where she is at. They stopped all sedation and pain meds today.

Todd and I are definatley nervous about where she in neurologically. We just want the cute, joyfully, full of life Ashlyn back. Please pray for Ashlyn's complete healing and that His strength will be with us and we see are little girl walk this path.

  1. We are already praying for that full of life, cute, funny little girl. We are praying for that complete healing, give her time, don't be nervous, God is working. Prasie God for all the blessing He has already done and I Praise Him for all the blessings still to come. Dear LORD Please be with Liz, Todd, Ashlyn and the rest of the family. Please give the best gift ever their little Ashlyn back in full recovery. Please heal her brain injury, put it all back together just the way it was before. Cradle her in your loving arms, give her your strength and courage to go through rehab. Plese Father if you desire to not let her go through yet another surgery, then let her be able to chew and swallow before rehab. Please dear Father. Thank you LORD. Amen. love you, the Skinners

  2. I will remind you always, what God has spoken
This will be his "earnest"...his own special token

Use it as your staff, when your heart starts to fail
Just never forget..I'm behind every vail!

    Liz & Todd,
    All the saints are praying
    to bring to past
    God's perfect will
    In our Little Addie's life

"I have come to give you life
and that more abundant" "I AM" the Lord your God, I will complete that which I started.

Encourage yourself in the holy spirit !

He will lead you and guide you in the way you should go...and counsel you with his eyes upon
    you,

    Ashlyns is hidden in God.
She is comforted, caressed in his love and protected in his loveing arms.

We walk and talk not like others that have no hope.
For we are the children not just of hope....bit of "The Promise"
    xxxooo
We are his children and our life is complete in him.

    Our expectation is in "JESUS"

  4. As I flip through Psalms I am amazed at how honest David is with the Lord. He pleads with the Lord to hear him and take away those things in his life that are causing him pain. Then over and over he talks of how Great our God is and how he nevers leaves us, how He hears our prayers, how he knew us while we were being formed in our mothers womb.
Remember to call out to Jesus and tell him your hurt, pain, concerns, anger, frustrations. Remember too that Jesus formed Ashlyn and knew all her days even these ones and the ones to come. She is in His hands and He NEVER sleeps but is always watching over her.
My prayers are always with you and Ashlyn. The road ahead more than likely will not be easy. But He is there to walk you all through this. I love you guys! I'm sorry this is something you have to endure. I pray that it draws you closer to Jesus and one another.

  5. Liz and Todd - God is full of compassion. This word actually means "to suffer with". To say that God has compassion on you means that your pain, you need, touches His heart as if it were His own. God's compassion compels Him to exercise His power on your behalf. (When You Hurt and When He Heals) - Father God, allow Liz and Todd to experience Your peace and power through this most difficult time - allow them to feel YOUR PRESENCE unlike ever before as they walk this path before them - Hold them steady Lord I pray. Let Your Kingdom come and Your will be done in little Ashlyn - Father we are believing and trusting that you will heal and restore - In Jesus' name. Your in our hearts continually - Love & hugs - Ellen and Tony

  6. http"Never Let Go" by Matt Redman

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
Your perfect love is casting out fear
And even when I’m caught in the middle of the storms of this life
    I won’t turn back
    I know You are near

And I will fear no evil
For my God is with me
And if my God is with me
    Whom then shall I fear?
    Whom then shall I fear?

    Chorus:
Oh no, You never let go
Through the calm and through the storm
Oh no, You never let go
In every high and every low
Oh no, You never let go
Lord, You never let go of me

And I can see a light that is coming for the heart that holds on
A glorious light beyond all compare
And there will be an end to these troubles
    But until that day comes
We’ll live to know You here on the earth

    Chorus:

Yes, I can see a light that is coming for the heart that holds on
And there will be an end to these troubles
    But until that day comes
Still I will praise You, still I will praise You

    Chorus: (2x’s
